Accor selects brand-new SVP Marketing

Caroline BenardCaroline Benard is the new Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Global Development at Accor for all three of the company’s hotel brand segments (Premium, Midscale, and Economy). Camil Yazbeck, the company’s global chief development officer, will be her supervisor.

Caroline Benard joined the Accor hotel business directly after graduating from college, and she has since worked her way up through the ranks. She was promoted to general manager of the ibis Sheffield Centre after completing an MBA programme at ESSEC.

She lived in England for over two years before returning to her home France to manage the rooms at the Novotel Saint-Quentin in Yvelines. In the years between 2010 and 2017, Benard served as General Manager of the Novotel Poissy Orgeval, the Novotel Château de Maffliers, and the Novotel Paris La Défense.

Her promotion to Vice President, Eco Brands Experience, occurred in the spring of 2017. She oversaw the ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget plan brands globally in terms of branding, marketing strategy, brand material, and engagement.

In March of 2015, Caroline Benard assumed the role of SVP Global Midscale & & Economy Brands. Her responsibilities included brand strategy, brand experience, and brand marketing for both budget (ibis, ibis Styles, ibis budget, greet) and midrange (Novotel, Mercure, Grand Mercure) hotel chains.

Her new role will require her to advocate for Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy brands with the company’s owner base, business partners, and investors.
