The actress posted the happy news to Instagram with the caption “Hitched!”
After sparking wedding event rumours for less than a day, Naomi Watts has actually confirmed that she and Billy Crudup are wed.
The 54-year-old King Kong actress announced on Saturday that she and Crudup, 54, had been legally wed by posting a photo on her Instagram account. The adorable image shows the newlyweds keeping one other updated on the activities of what appears to be a Manhattan courthouse while they are both dressed to the nines and beaming.
Watts just wrote “Hitched!” as the post’s caption.
The good news is as follows. As they returned to their New York City residence on Friday, the pair was photographed wearing matching wedding event bands, according to Page Six. In the pictures, Watts can be seen grinning while maintaining an arrangement while Crudup, dressed in a navy suit, is seen bringing a red duffle bag.
After she published the picture, a few of the couple’s well-known friends—including Gwyneth Paltrow, Melanie Lynskey, Sarah Silverman, Amy Sedaris, Lucy Boynton, Shailene Woodley, and others—went to the comments section to congratulate the couple on their recent nuptials.
That includes Justin Theroux, who wrote, “CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!!!” and who directed and appeared in Mulholland Drive alongside Watts and opposite Crudup in Commitment.
“Hooray!” said Jennifer Coolidge, who co-starred with Watts in the true crime series The Watcher. I just got up to do this. Congrats!!! You two could not be more beautiful, XO.

Previously, Watts and Crudup were said to be engaged when the actress was spotted wearing a sizable diamond on her ring finger in April. When Today host Hoda Kotb matched Watts on the ring as she was heading to the early morning programme that same month, Watts avoided addressing her relationship status by acting confused.
“I’m hurting in my eye. At the time, Kotb said, “There’s a big sparkle coming from some ring over here. I was just struck by it. It’s beautiful. Watts laughed and said, “Oh, the brain fog!” while feigning ignorance.
While Watts and Crudup have been connected since 2017, their main red carpet debut as a couple did not occur until attending the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2018. Watts is a mother to two children, Sasha, 15, and Kai, 14, whom she shares with her ex-husband Liev Schreiber, whilst Crudup has a child along with her wife Mary-Louise Parker, William Atticus Parker, age 19.
