Newly opened as the campus hotel for the highly regarded University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora is the Benson Hotel and Faculty Club. The Benson’s 106 rooms include standard hotel rooms, suites, and an entire level dedicated to apartment-style apartments complete with full kitchens. Four distinct room designs were conceived to pay homage to Colorado’s natural beauty, with some featuring cosy wood panelling and others quirky floral wallpapers; all included contemporary hardware in the bathrooms.
Requirement Each of our Queen and King accommodations include a sitting area and desk. The Premium King and Expanded Studio rooms provide extra space, a view of the mountains or garden, and access to a small kitchen. Suites with gas fireplaces and verandas overlooking the Front Range, Rose Garden or Anschutz Campus have been hand-picked.
The Common Good
The Common Good, The Benson’s 100-seat restaurant, has dishes made fresh daily by Executive Chef Donovan Davis, a seasoned pro at the kitchens of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. It promises to serve as a community gathering place, complete with home-cooked meals that are inspired by the seasons and made using ingredients from the region, and a dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Conferences & & Weddings
The hotel’s second level features a spacious 3,800 square foot ballroom, ideal for hosting conferences and events with up to 250 guests. Natural light floods the space, and there are two massive marble fireplaces. There will be seven meeting rooms, all with windows, and a Rose Garden of four thousand square feet, perfect for weddings and other outdoor celebrations.
The Art Collection of The Benson Hotel & & Faculty Club
Over one hundred completely new pieces by a variety of contemporary Colorado artists directed by William Matthews may be found in the renowned Western art collection at The Benson Hotel & & Faculty Club.
The brand-new collection is reflective of the present-day Western United States, exhibiting many facets of time of day, weather, agriculture, the natural world, and the human experience. All the artwork in the hotel was specially commissioned for different rooms and public spaces. The paintings explore diverse artistic techniques while collaborating to highlight Colorado’s expansive scenery.
The hotel’s public spaces, guest rooms, and suites all include works from the collection, which showcases the region and its people from a variety of perspectives. Matthews and the seasoned art manager John Grant are responsible for curating the Benson Collection. The artworks of the Colorado painters in the collection may be found in some of the best museums and galleries in the Americas.
The Faculty Club at The Benson Hotel
Aurora’s leaders, influencers, and the Anschutz medical neighbourhood will have a private, off-campus gathering place in the Faculty Club. The members-only section is a quiet spot with a full bar, private conference space and comfortable indoor seats. All of the amenities and services available at The Benson Hotel will be available to members.
Bruce Davey Benson, president of the University of Colorado (CU) system from March 2008 until his retirement on July 1, 2019, is honoured with the naming of the hotel that bears his name. The hotel, which was built by the Denver-based company Aimco, will be managed by Olympia Hotel Management.
