Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Golden Globe winner John Boyega, and Teyonah Parris feature in the hilarious conspiracy film “They Cloned Tyrone,” for which Netflix has released the first official teaser.

Netflix has set the release date for “They Cloned Tyrone” at July 21. The premiere will take place at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) on June 14, just a week before it hits streaming services. In April of 2021, as per Boyega’s Instagram, the film will be released.

The tagline for this film reads as follows: “A series of spooky occasions thrusts a not likely trio (Boyega, Parris, and Foxx) onto the path of a wicked federal government conspiracy in this pulpy secret caper.”

The cast also includes Boyega as Fontaine, Parris as Yo-Yo, Tyler Antonius as Tyrone, and Foxx as Slick Charles. Kiefer Sutherland, David Alan Grier, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Joshua Mikel, and James Moses Black are also in the cast.

Directing debut for Juel Taylor, who also created the screenplay for “They Cloned Tyrone” alongside Tony Rettenmaier. Taylor has written “Creed II,” “Shooting Stars,” and “Young. Wild. Free” before working as a co-screenwriter on this film.

Netflix released the first official posters for the upcoming Foxx, Boyeda, and Parris film, Authorities, on Monday morning, hours before the first trailer for the film was released.

Foxx is also involved in the production process as a producer alongside Charles D. King, Stephen “Dr.” Love, and Datari Turner, and as an executive producer alongside Mark R. Wright, Kim Roth, Jack Murray, Federal Films, Dana Sano, and Monte Lipman. Manufacturers James Lopez and Poppy Hanks share the role of executive producer.

Foxx’s “medical problem” earlier this year delayed the release of his previous film, thus the upcoming best is his first film since then.
