The UltraSharp 38 (U3824DW) is a 37.5-inch curved IPS Black panel display that Dell has really demonstrated. In addition to its large size, the monitor offers a wide selection of connections.

In addition to its UltraSharp 32 6K display, Dell has now released the curved UltraSharp 38 (U3824DW). Dell claims that their UltraSharp 38 is the first 37.5-inch display with WQHD+ and IPS Black technology. The IPS panel’s 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m 2 peak brightness, and 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space are all practical benefits. It appears that the display provides the same level of safety for the sRGB colour space as it does for the Display P3 space.

According to Dell, the UltraSharp 38 has a 60 Hz refresh rate, a native resolution of 3,840 by 1,600 pixels, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The company has not yet confirmed the curved nature of the screen. The UltraSharp 38 features a flexible stand that allows for rotation of +/- 30 degrees, elevation of +/- 120 mm, and tilt of +/- 21 degrees. Dell also has the following ports and mounting holes (VESA, 100 x 100 mm):

  • One 3.5 mm jack for line-out
    Single-link DVI-I 1.4 (3,840 x 1,600/ 60 Hz)
    2x HDMI 3,840 by 1,600 at 60 hertz, or 2.1 TMDS.
    1x RJ45 2500 Mbps
    1x USB 3.2 Second-Generation Type-A (2.0 A, BC1.2)
4x USB Gen2 Type-A downstream bandwidth of 10 Gbps (for data only)
    2x USB Type-C downstream of the 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps, 15 W)
    1x USB 3.2 Upstream Gen2 Type-C (10 Gbps, data only)
Upstream 1x USB-C (DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode/90W USB Power Delivery).

The stereo 9 W speakers and KVM switch are included inside the UltraSharp 38. Beginning in North America on June 22nd, consumers can purchase an UltraSharp 38 (U3824DW). Dell’s initial pricing in the US and CA is US$1,529.99 and CA$2,049.99, respectively. Dell has not yet confirmed international pricing or availability.
